Greetings one and all. Thank you to all the wonderful people that made Spring Tour 2010 a great success as well as tons of fun! Spring is a time change and R U H A is no exception. We have hired a new Bass player. We welcome Joe Grosvent to R U H A with much love and expectation of a new sound and direction! We also wish our former bass player Max McKee all the best and send him off with amazing memories and SO much love! We will be doing a few Northeast shows in April-June as well as recording a new album! Look for R U H A to hit the road again at the end of July - the Middle of August. The Summer Tour will take us back to the Rockies and the Midwest! Be well and stay in the moment. We love you!

Well the first leg of the Spring Tour through the Northeast was a blast! It started in Albany with a crazy storm that ended up being just a rain storm and of course the fear based media talked everyone into staying home. The 40 or so people who braved the rain had a blast as well as us. We got to sing with our favorite addition to R U H A Ms. Cris Noel. She is amazing!!!!!!!!! Then we headed up to Plattsburgh,NY to the historic Monopole. This show was a riot. We reallt ripped it up and the crowd freeeeeeeked over the music. So much fun. The opening act Ginge & The giants, fueled by the songwriting of Luke Brown were excellent! We ended the run in Johnson,VT at The Hub. It was a small crowd but had a blast with the friends that did show up. All in all a great warm up for the major portion of the tour coming up! Off to the Midwest! :)

WoooHoooo what a night! Probably the craziest night I've been a part of in a while! The night started with a great set fom The Brethren which was followed by a equally as awesome set from Turnip Stampede. Then the night got interesting. Sam, whose birthday show it was, requested and got a burlesque show to hit the stage between Turnip and R U H A. It lasted just a bit longer than it needed to but after a complete saging of the stage and each other followed by a spirited introduction from Sam himself we ripped into a wonderful set of music. You can download the show @ www.ruhamusic.com for FREE. Just go to the FREE DOWNLOAD section of the site!!! Here's a little sample!
What a great time! The fun started in syracuse @ Al's and just kept right on going. The show in Plattsburgh,NY was a ton of fun and Luke Brown and his band of gypsy's sounded awesome! We couch surfed that night and met some very cool folks and knocked back a couple PBR's to celebrate the new friendships! Next we traveled to Portland,ME. Port City Music Hall is one of the best venues we have ever played in. Amazing sound and hospitality! We played very well to our hardcore few that braved the sub zero temps. Onto Johnson,VT where the cold seemed to get to an all time low. It was -5 upon arriving at the venue. Then max's amp head blew up in a freak electrical incident, but as always things worked out just fine and the show went off w/o a hitch as we rocked love into peoples hearts to warm them up! By the by the pizza was sooooo tasty! Then onto Albany,NY. Our wonderful friend Cris Noel opened the show and was amazing as always. Look for a whole lotta Cris in he future. She sat in with us for 3 of the 5 shows and sang on many many songs. She really brings an intense beauty to the vocals! After 4 shows and 2 massive pillow fights we were a touch tired but once we hit the stage the R U H A magic filled the air. Jillian's was a great show and the venue was way cool. All in all the small run of shows gave us a glimpse of how much fun we will have on our Spring Tour in March!!! You can download the Jillian's show right here and also download the Portland show (song by song) @ www.ruhamusic.com and click on free downloads! Enjoy!!! :)
Welcome one and all! This is the year that many things will change for all of us. BIG changes. Only each of us knows the change that will happen within but the change that is happening globally is almost to cosmic to believe! Feel and know it in your hearts! As for R U H A ... We took the last part of 2009 off to rehearse some new songs and write some new material. This band is a true treasure that all are becoming aware of as we speak. R U H A is a touring band and being such we will only be performing in either small tours or big tours with the occasional local show. We hit the road the end of January for a short run through the Northeast and then hit it hard with a National Tour for the month of March! Look for R U H A everywhere this year spreading the kindest, most honest music out there! L O V E!
As with all good things they must end ... BAH! All good things never have to end but the Dino monday night res. in November did! It was a great time and got the band to play many styles of music with all of our different guests! Colin Aberdeen was the final guest and he was and is fantastic!!! Really smooth style and amazing voice!!! Thank you to the Dino and thank you to Dusty, Tim, David and Colin for joining us each week. Hope you enjoy set I!
Floaty, magical ... David Peters!
This set was my favorite so far!!! Opened with 3 David Peters tunes. With David at the wheel we floated around the music and created a wonderful sound together. Then we settled into our 2nd set of R U H A music and we pretty much nailed it. We did a run of tunes that was just blissful ... overflow >be here now > out to sea > escape > eyes of the world > illuminate > wish > oh well. GREAT fun and the rest of the set was top notch as well. Wooohooo this band is fun! Enjoy!
